Arms and Armour |
The arms and armour pictured here have been made for my own amusement, rather than to any commercial end: they're a challenge to make, and a pleasure to own! |
Flintlock pistol: I recently completed a fully functioning .50 calibre flintlock pistol with a rifled damascus barrel. I now use it for target shooting. Click on the picture to see more. |
"Damascus" blades: Forging pattern welded blades can become an obsession! The technique is very labour intensive, and requires great skill, but the results can be spectacular. I'm no expert, but here are a few of mine. Click on picture to see more. |
Gauntlets: I'm very proud of these! They we're made several years ago in my old workshop, before we moved. They represent many evenings and weekends head scratching and metal bashing. Click on photo for big picture. |
Helm: Like the gauntlets, made entirely by hand using traditional methods, in the style of 14th Century examples. Click on the photo for a big picture. |
