April '08: We lost our dog Sam, after a long battle with a tumour. He was much loved, and is greatly missed.
A new face has joined the team here - Ash is a 5 month old Deerhound puppy, charming in every respect other
than personal hygiene !

The "Sleepy Hollow" staircase bannister is finished and installed. Wish I'd taken more/better pictures before
installation, as I couldn't get far enough away from it to take a good picture on site. To see what photos I did
get, click here. Thanks to Mark Willgoss for assisting with the installation.

The copper tree is under way - it's going to take a lot of hours to complete, and will soon be too big to get
out of the workshop if I'm not careful ! Will get some photos up as soon as it's finished. We'll be protecting it
with smartwater, as well as a few other anti - theft devices!
June '08: Crikey, Did I really start the tree back in April ?
It's finished at last, , first two coats of lacquer applied, and looking good! A deputation from the school
arrived this morning to have a look, and I'm relieved to say they liked what they saw. It's hard to take good
photos of it right now, as it's still under the ad hoc workshop extension, so I think I'll wait 'till it's installed to
upload any photos to the website.

Alongside work on the tree I've been working on some garden tables, and a shop sign along with other bits
and bobs.

Ash is still alternately charming our socks off, and infuriating us - but mostly charming our socks off.
June/July 2008: The tree's safely installed, and I attended the official opening of the sculpture garden on
27th June, along with staff, pupils and local press. Click here to see pictures.

Things are a little slow , as the current economic climate starts to bite, and my material costs rocket skywards,
but I've a seat to make for a client in Oxford, and goods to produce for the Winslow show, so I'll not be
getting bored any time soon.
