Blog:
A blacksmith's life can be mindblogglingly dull, so while I hope to update this page fairly regularly
with anything I feel the need to share, entries may be few and far between. We'll see...

After months of pottering, a sharp learning curve, a couple of weeks of more intense computing than I'm
used to and one or two false starts, I
think I'm about to publish the website. Here goes !
Thursday 29th November '07:
Good News - The website's finally up and running after a few panicky exchanges with customer support.
.....touch wood! Bad news.. just discovered my new power hammer won't be getting here before Christmas.
Doh! When it does arrive from the U.S.A. it'll be the first of it's kind to reach these shores. Must try to
think of a name for it...
Current jobs include fireside companion set, handrail, stove to refurbish, grate to refurbish, security grill
and plant pot brackets. The latter for a chocolatier - wonder if they'll pay in kind?

Thursday 6th October '07:
Finally got site up, running, and with photos, but currently unable to update it... About to try again...
Hope I Don't lose the whole thing! Been doing a pair of repousse panels for the chocolatiers plant pot
brackets today. Hopefully pictures will appear in due course.
February 2008:
Embarrassed to say I've been unable to update or make corrections to the site as yet, but have been busy in
the workshop, which is the main thing... Have just completed some reproduction Tee Hinges for a local
architect, as well as making and fitting some infill panels for a pedestrian gate locally. This month I should
hear whether a massive job for a favourite client of mine is likely to get the go ahead. Should also hear
whether an "eco town" is to be built in my back yard. Gordon Brown will have even more to answer for if
that happens!
The new power hammer is installed and running, and already saving me time and aches!
STILL trying to update site - some progress at last!
